DPS is hiring a senior sales director for North America with proven experience selling software (CAD, CAE, PLM…) to major actors from the manufacturing industry (automotive, aerospace, etc..). Based in the US and reporting to the CEO of the company in Paris, he can reach C-level and top engineering managers. His mission is to help us sell our new product KARREN to large equipment manufacturers in North America. A strong R&D team and experienced application engineers support his efforts.
Digital Product Simulation is recognized for its know-how integrating digital simulation within the process of industrial products design. The company is based in France with offices in France, USA and Japan. DPS is successfully delivering solutions to key industry manufacturers and introduced KARREN, a tool independent software framework targeted for use across both the design and the simulation communities resulting in more efficient overall development processes. KARREN (Knowledge Acquisition and Reuse for Robust ENgineering enables knowledge capture and reuse for efficient and dependable behavior studies across multiple disciplines.
This position is an outstanding opportunity to introduce to the market an innovative product with no direct competition yet. Already supported and validated by a selection manufacturers worldwide, KARREN is a complex sale as its implies changing working habits at all levels of the design and manufacturing process, which must be carried by top management. KARREN sales forecast is ambitious and will be a multimillion business within the next 2 years.
Skills and Experience for the sales director America:
· Knowledge of CAE, CAE PLM software
· Proven ability to adresse C-level engineering managers
· Ability to understand design and simulation issues in the manufacturing industry
· Ability to communicate customer needs to inside support team

Reporting to the CEO of the company, this position may be based anywhere in North America. Travel throughout North America is required.

The launch of KARREN is a result of the many years of consulting for Simulation-Driven Design projects at major customers.
KARREN (Knowledge Acquisition and Reuse for Robust ENgineering) is a tool independent software framework to enable knowledge capture and reuse for efficient and dependable behavior studies across multiple disciplines. KARREN is targeted for use across both the design and the simulation communities resulting in more efficient overall development processes.
Currently KARREN is available to early adopters in Europe and Japan with KARREN Core and Excel Connector, and Connectors for CATIA V5, Isight
and a Connector Toolkit.
Honda Japan joins KARREN Early Adopter Program
Honda Japan has joined the KARREN Early Adopter Program to investigate the implementation process and benefits of KARREN as Behavior Based Collaboration Infrastructure. Honda Japan will work in collaboration with DPS on a six-month project as part of the KARREN Early Adopter Program to establish a pilot project and implement a performance-based design process for design of Door components managing the requirement level parameters and their transition to the functional and physical models. KARREN is planned to help with the exchange of parameter values between CAD parametric models (to/from CATIA V5), Design Space Exploration, and in-house applications.
DPS unveils KARREN Early Adopter Program
The KARREN Early Adopter Program (KEAP) is designed to allow interested partners to investigate a proof of concept for implementing KARREN and to influence development directions and Connector priorities. The KARREN Early Adopter Program involves commitment from both DPS and the customer that can range from 3 months to 12 months based on the objectives of the customer. The KARREN Early Adopter Program includes a no charge license of the appropriate KARREN software modules for the duration of the proof of concept investigation. During the KARREN Early Adopter Program DPS provides services focused on helping to ensure success of the KARREN proof of concept implementation.
